Frankly, producing one's first book is a bit scary. Never mind that one of us worked for a top-notch independent publishing house eons ago — last century, literally — so that the terms were not Greek. The difference is that this time, we were working with our own content and photographs, ones that mean/meant a lot to us.
The process is long and involves tons of work. Not only does one have to think about asking a designer whose work you admire to be part of the team, picking a printer who excels in fine art books, selecting someone to write the foreword, writing our own artists' statement, penning the copy for the dust jacket, but there is pricing and signing up for an IBSN (those bar codes you see on the back of dusk jackets.)
This represents a periodically-updated timeline, with both stills and links to videos, on the making of NEW ORLEANS that was released November of 2020.
